Four years ago, amidst the turmoil of War and Genocide, three men created a movement that would shake the very core of planet Earth. These men put together a team of misfits known at the time only as Uniformless McTerrible. News began to spread of this band of men from the North, who were looking to take over the Vernon NABA 1 season at a time. Players came from far and wide to join in the fight, until there was only one goal : Championship!
Thus began the 2007 Year of the Wombat. With sparkling uniforms, and a dominant pitching rotation, the Wombats took the NABA by storm. After defeating bitter rival Hoss Dental in the1st round of the playoffs, it was then time to overtake the two time defending champions: Acurite.
After Two unbelieveable games, that saw both teams use everything within their arsenal, it was a Elder Journeyman who demolished the final pitch for a Walk Off game winning hit. This will forever be the moment when scholars look back and say, the Wombats became a Dynasty. After that game, Acurite limped into the night, terrified of what awaited them in the final game of the Championship. The Wombats had done the unthinkable, winning the 2007 NABA chamionship!
The Aftershocks were felt the world over, as former Wombats returned to revel in the glory. Shocked spectators the world over watched in amazement as the celebrations continued for months. Three Men who had endured so much, now sat on top of the Vernon NABA mountain. Thus came the Wombats , and there glory shall live FOREVER!!!!!
